This week we are discussing biosocial development and cognitive development of children in the school years. For this discussion, go to the Library and find a research article on one of the topics that can impact cognitive or biosocial development (vocabulary development, standardized testing, writing skills, metacognition, least restrictive environment, working memory, selective attention, long term memory, code switching, moral development, whole language approach, phonics approach, bilingual education, class size, total immersion). The research must cover children in the school years (ages 6 to 11). When summarizing the article, be sure to share: (1) the purpose of the study, (2) sample, (3) method, and (4) research findings and conclusion.
