•The essay should focus on and apply at least one of the major/central theories/approaches discussed in class to a new “media text” (i.e. film, 2-3 episodes of a television show, or video game w/significant narrative).  You should spend the bulk (i.e. at least 75%) of your essay interrogating the new/additional media text through a series of scene analyses; you can also compare/contrast with one of the original media focuses discussed in class.  At least two new additional articles related to the overall topic or film should be referenced; at least one of these must be from a peer-reviewed/scholarly source.
