Health Approach to Social Development of Health

Within the context of public health, policy development includes the

advancement and implementation of public health law, regulations, or

voluntary practices that influence systems development, organizational

change, and individual behavior to promote improvements in health. Such

policies can be executed within the health sector, for example, using a National

Health Scheme conditions of participation or reimbursement to influence health

care delivery, or using the tax code to encourage employer-provided health

insurance (FNU, Blueshield etc). However, public health goals can also be

achieved working in other sectors such as education, agriculture, or employment,

You are requested by your Managers to develop a policy brief towards any

public health problem related to a social determinants of health. (This will

be disuccsed and finalized with the Course Convener)

 You are going to be assessed on the degree to which the PH problem

is perceived by the authorities (need to produce evidence)

 You need to discuss relevant execisting laws and policies locally,

regionally or globally. What are your likes and dislikes of the those

laws, their advantages and benefits.

 What are the other alternative solutions? Each thought also considers
