Vanier Collegiate is a publicly-funded Catholic High School in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. The school is a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division which includes schools in Moose Jaw as well as two other small communities in southern Saskatchewan. School enrollment consists of approximately 400 co-ed students from grades 9-12. Vanier is the only Catholic high school in Moose Jaw and as a result includes students from all areas and socio-economic backgrounds within and around the small city. The city of Moose Jaw has approximately 35,000 residents and is located within an agricultural and resource-based economic region. There are also 4 public high schools in the city which are member schools with Vanier in Moose Jaw High School Athletic Association. These schools work together to administer leagues of play for school teams in a variety of sports at JV and Varsity levels.
Vanier Collegiate athletics are guided by the vision: Christ centred lifelong learning through academics and athletics. Vanier believes that athletic programs are an important part of a student’s overall educational experience. The athletic programs offered in our school are an extension of the classroom and require that the moral and educational obligations of sport be fulfilled.The goals and objectives of our athletic programs are administered in complete harmony with the constitution and bylaws set forth by our governing sport groups.
