Climate Change

Environmental ethics is marked by a tension between the Leopoldian tradition (humanity is just one species among millions, we need to accept our limited place) and the Jonasian tradition (technology has given us unrivaled, immense power and we need to learn how to use it responsibly). How do you see both traditions playing out in the public discourse about climate change, e.g. degrowth vs geoengineering?
