Several of the works wse have read portray troubled or broken marriages. Mrs. Wright in Trifles, Linda in Death of a Salesman, Mrs. Mallard in “The Story of an Hour,” the American wife in “Cat in the Rain,” and Mrs. Das in “Interpreter of Maladies” all endure much as a result of their marriages. Choose any three of these women, and discuss the problems that resulted from her marriage, how she handles them, and whether her choices/actions solve her problems.
