Business and Management

Part 1 Study Topic: Authentic Leadership and Building Followers’ Trust in Public Schools. For this assignment, you will need to conduct library research on the theoretical and conceptual underpinnings that inform your potential study problem, study purpose, and research questions. Address the following: • Develop your problem statement: Problem Statement should have brevity and three distinct parts in one paragraph: (i) the general problem, (ii) the specific problem, and (iii) an introductory description of your methodological approach. • Develop your purpose statement. • Draft 3 potential research questions; make sure that you consider how these questions align with both the purpose of your study and the study problem. • Elaborate on how these questions may serve to address the gap that you identified in the literature thus far. Cite theoretical, conceptual, and empirical peer-reviewed literature to support the relevance of your potential research questions. NB: All sources must be recent, not more than 5 years. Part 2: Ethical Assurances In this section, present a summary of the assurances you will employ to support principles of ethical research, which require researchers to minimize risk to human subjects. Specify how your proposed study aligns with principles of ethical research expected within the program discipline (Leadership Management), and indicate what you expect to be the potential benefits of study findings to the discipline. Part 3 Consider your research position, why this is a phenomenon of interest to you, and your biases and assumptions; discuss the following questions: • What personal and professional motivations do I have for doing this research? • How might these motivations influence how I think about and approach the topic? • What is my agenda for taking up this topic, in this setting, at this time? • What biases shape this agenda? • What are my beliefs about the people, places, and ideas involved in, and related to, my study? • What barriers to feasibility might you encounter in this research • How might you need to modify your study to ensure that it is feasible?
