Using the book, Barry Benson’s Civil War Book, Memoirs of a Confederate Scout and Sharpshooter, (1) identify causes of the Civil War according to Benson from South Carolina’s point of view.  (2) Next identify the causes of the Civil War from the Confederate point of view.  This second part will require research.  (3) Is South Carolina similar in its reasons for secession to the rest of the Confederate states?  Why or why not?2.
