In this assignment, you are requested to present a trajectory of media, with a focus on the angles of transformation in media along history. 

Choose at least 7 main stages, or pitstops, that were transformational, for example, printing, radio, TV, or metaverse. Then, you are required to explain the societal impact of these tools, or on specific communities, while presenting examples of lifestyles that are endorsed by media platforms.

In the second part of this assignment, you are required to analyze the “banana artwork that was sold for 120,000 USD that was officially titled “Comedian” and was installed by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, where the piece was composed of a banana taped to a wall with duct tape.  

You may choose one of the below ways of submission.

a.     Word document 

a.     Word count no more than 300 words

b.     Divide your document into 3 main parts; introduction, body and conclusion

c.     Introduction can be your own observation of historical and current relationship between media and society (if you have another relevant input as an introduction, feel free to include it)

d.     Body (elaborating on each phase and its impact on the society)

e.     Conclusion could be your own analysis of the relationship between media and society.

b.     PowerPoint slides 

a.     You may use visuals that help in explaining your idea

b.     Explaining the visual by text is required to reflect your idea clearly

c.     You may write extensive texts in your slides if that makes you more comfortable explaining your ideas

d.     You are not grades on how the presentation looks, you are grades according to the information that your slides provide.
