Archaeobotany Lab Report Students will write-up the results of our archaeobotany laboratory exercise in the style of a laboratory report. Your report should be 4 pages double spaced.  This assignment provides useful preparation for professional work in laboratory analysis. The structure of this work should be as follows:              INTRODUCTION

• Introduce the site. Describe its location and chronology.

METHODS

• Describe how the samples were gathered/excavated from the site.
• Describe how the samples were analyzed in the laboratory. Be specific about what techniques were used and how they were applied.

RESULTS

•  Present the information from your laboratory analysis in a quantified fashion including both writing and either tables or charts.

DISCUSSION

• Based on your lab results (counts of different identified species through time) draw some preliminary conclusions regarding people’s activities at the site. Discuss insights to trade and local agriculture. What might this also indicate about the site’s environmental history. 
• Are there any lingering questions or controversies?
