In this assignment, you will play the role of a consultant who has been hired by an organization. You should pick a topic from the course that you believe is especially important for leaders to know and apply.THE TOPIC I CHOSE IS “DECISION MAKING” Ideally, the topic you pick could address some particular problem or situation in an organization with which you are familiar. In other words, what if your current organization hired you as a consultant to teach them something of value from this course? What would you teach them?
1. Describe a problem or situation that could be addressed with topics we’ve covered this semester (or closely related topics). In other words, feel free to explore any behavioral intervention that leaders might use to improve individual, group, or organizational performance or attitudes.
2. Describe evidence-based principles that could be used to address the problem or situation. Our readings might be a good place to start, but you should use Google Scholar or databases available through the library to identify additional resources that are more current. It might be helpful to review the “What is Good Evidence?” video from the first week of the course. A few other good sources for current evidence-based ideas are:

c. Minds at Work: https://www.psychologicalscience.org/news/minds-business
3. The MBA Program is dedicated to helping students develop written and oral communication skills, so this assignment will have a written and oral component.
a. Paper guidelines (50% of assignment grade):
i. I’m intentionally creating some ambiguity so that you can be creative.
ii. I don’t have a page limit in mind. It will depend on the problem you choose. But two pages is probably too short. Twenty pages is probably too long.
iii. You will need to do some research that goes beyond the assigned readings and you need to cite your references. Again, one source is not enough; 20 is too many. Different people will have different needs. When you get stuck or need help, ask me.
iv. I also don’t have a specific format in mind. Do whatever makes the most sense in completing the assignment and convincing me that you learned something in the process. Again, play the role of a consultant giving advice to your organization

i. Additionally, a short powerpoint needs to be made that is “pitching” your ideas to your organization.
