Pick an article from a newspaper or a journal that is dated after January 2022. Ideally, it should be one that touches on several different topics covered in this course.

Attach the original article to your report. Please make sure that the date and the name of the publication or journal are visible. Please do not pick articles that are too long.

Analyze the content of the article and relate it to the different topics covered in this course.

Do not repeat or re-write the article rather, explain the statements and the underlying relationships that the article is referring to. For example, if the article is about “yields changing” due to an event, explain what side of the bond market would be affected and why…….Feel free to agree or disagree with the statements given in the article and explain your reasons. Make sure your reasoning is logical and consistent.

Your report should be around 1200 words and must relate to at least 3 or 4 topics covered in this course.

The Grading will be based on the following

1.      Is the original article a good choice and does it relate to the topics covered in this course or not?

2.      Are the arguments sound and is the reasoning valid?

3.      Does the report really demonstrate a good understanding of the topics discussed in the article or not?

4.      Is it well written, or are there grammatical/spelling errors?

5.      Does it demonstrate that some thought has been given to the report and how interesting it is to read?

Please note, that reports that do not relate the material to the content of this course, or could have been written without taking this course, will not be deemed acceptable, no matter how brilliantly written.
