Keyhani, S., Steigerwald, S., Ishida, J., Vali, M., Cerdá, M., Hasin, D., … & Cohen, B. E. (2018). Risks and benefits of marijuana use: a national survey of US adults. Annals of internal medicine169(5), 282-290.

The article attempts to understand the public’s perspective on the benefits and risks of marijuana use. Authors argue that regardless that there exists not enough evidence concerning its importance and risks, Marijuana is highly available and consumed by people. Research confirms that more than 81% of adults in the US believe Marijuana has at minimum one benefit. It is recognized for managing pain and disease treatment such as multiple sclerosis and epilepsy. Marijuana also relieves one from stress, anxiety, and depression. Authors further argue that the greatest risk associated with Marijuana include legal problems, impaired memory, and addiction.

Since smoking marijuana prevents health issues, it is evident that it has benefits that surpass the risk, making the source useful in my final paper. Besides, the article offers several benefits associated with Marijuana, such as pain management and disease treatment. Authors also outweigh the negative side and depict that Marijuana can lead to addiction.

Desmarais, A., Smiddy, S., Reddy, S., El-Dallal, M., Erlich, J., & Feuerstein, J. D. (2020). Evidence supporting the benefits of Marijuana for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis is extremely limited: a meta-analysis of the literature. Annals of gastroenterology33(5), 495.

Authors argue that the drug is greatly applied to control inflammation and pain caused by inflammatory bowel disease. There is no distinction to attain clinical remission after comparing patients treated with Marijuana and placebo.

The article is useful in my final paper as it will offer evidence supportingthe benefits of Marijuana. Besides, the authors argue that it is useful in managing inflammation. Therefore, it will offer information concerning its benefit in the medical field.

According to research, the use of Marijuana was higher for males than females. However, the research depicted that males were to create a friendship with marijuana smokers compared to women’s counterparts.

Since there is a critical distinction in the perception connecting to dangers of marijuana use, it proved that the source is helpful in my final paper. Besides, it offers a substantial difference in marijuana benefitsthrough peer relationships.
