This is a group project and I’m responsible for the following:
We chose Apple Inc. as the business that we would like to study. I need Financials incl. and a Basic analysis done like a SWOT analysis, marketing strategies, porter’s supply chain, ratio analysis and other analysis that will portray the internal aspects on the company. What their Value chain entails for efficient operation (How the Company Creates Value). Must show graphs, figures, tables with titles and figure numbers, that display their financials and how they have grown internally and externally. You must discuss, analyze, and interpret research findings or proposed solution to the problem. where do they operate, what do they sell, how do they do it, how big an organization are they, are they a public company (with shareholders) or private (without) or are they government or not-for-profit? Look for strategic documents like annual reports (usually on their websites or google them – remember that often there is a shareholders website and a consumer website and they could be different). Look for recent news articles about these companies. What competitive structure are they operating in? What’s changing? How are they trying to gain comparative advantage, grow their organization, add value. The first 5 pages should include all things mentioned above, and the last page needs to be an executive summary, where you must summarize the report purpose, findings, conclusions and recommendations. Gauge the length of the report and by the organizations practices.
