American literature

Create a slideshow analyzing the development of Early American Ethos through the literature presented in weeks 1-4. Synthesize central themes or concepts in order to trace the origins of these beliefs. Ethos is used as an umbrella term here – this can be related to the American Dream, but it does not have to be. It can be more focused on family structure, gender roles, religious beliefs, Native and European relations, work ethic, economic structure, government, etc. This is a slideshow, not an essay, but you can imagine that you will structure your presentation similarly to an essay without paragraphs of prose. Do the same thing: make a claim and prove it with evidence and through research, but paragraphs of prose are not necessary. Use note and outline form to craft your presentation.
