A trend or challenge related to one of the media industries

One of the things that makes mass communication an especially challenging field of study is that it is constantly changing. While this class is designed to give you a general overview of the media industries, the reality is that some of this information may already be outdated by the time you graduate and enter into the workforce. That’s the reason we focus on understanding patterns, trends, and change over time. Mass communications professionals should be dynamic thinkers who are ready to engage with a media environment that is always in flux. For your final project, your job is to take an in-depth look at a trend, challenge, or prediction related to one of the media industries. Some of the questions you might want to ask yourself as you decide on a topic include: a) what matters most in my media industry of interest? b) what does the future hold for practitioners in this industry? and c) what types of changes, ideas, or solutions might move this media industry in a positive direction?
