In this 5-paragraph essay, you will make an argument for three different governmental laws or policies that should be changed. These can be federal, state or local policies, but you must have a combination or more than one level of government (you cannot, for example seek to change three state policies and expect to earn full credit).

Any material from this course is fair game for this assignment, but all analysis must be original. You can (and should) quote from news sources or our text, but the majority of the work should be your own original analysis.

Essay Components

In addition to proper MLA or Chicago/Turabian header formatting in the top left corner, your essay should contain the following:

A) A well-constructed introductory paragraph with a solid, cohesive yet concise thesis detailing the issues you will cover.

B) Three body paragraphs, each one covering a policy issue you think needs to be reformed and what the change should be and why.

C) A well-constructed conclusion paragraph reflecting on the key issues you covered and why they were so important.
