This essay can focus on creative productions from Africa other than the literature we have read this semester, including other works of literature.  For instance, you might wish to write about graphic novels, photography, film, music, fashion , food. . . anything you think you can discover enough material to write 5 well-researched pages about.   In this essay, you will choose what is interesting to you about what you have chosen to write.  You must have a thesis statement or main point around which you center the essay.  (In other words, don’t just describe different kinds of fashion; have one main thing about fashion that you wish your reader to understand). Be sure to include your sources at the end of the essay.
