Using the readings as a starting point, write a four-page paper describing historical and
structural racism and how these affect the human services profession. When writing, include one of the theoretical frameworks in the readings (critical race theory, racial capitalism, or
racial identity development) to inform your analysis. (Note, only one theoretical framework
is to be used in your paper and the required reading highlighted in RED from that section). In
addition to the assigned readings, you must include two other references of your choosing.
Points to cover:
· Demonstrate an understanding of historical and structural racism and the theoretical framework used for you analysis of the human service profession (relate this to where you are
interning or the human service profession you want to work).
· Describe several examples from the assigned readings or your own research of how
racism affects the human services profession.
· Your paper must be formatted according to the APA style:
- Cover page
- Four pages of text
- Separate reference page
