Identify an issue of global significance:

• Include a discussion of international relations theories in explaining phenomena.
• Include a discussion how historical socio-cultural , geographical, political, and economic dimensions may shape the global issue and its influence on the local community (may include 1-2 above in this discussion).
• If action has been taken on that global issue (e.g., military response, sanctions, etc.), identify intended or unintended outcomes of that action and how “action” may impact future “interactions.”
• Take and justify your position on that issue (argumentative essay).

REQUIREMENTS FOR LITERATURE REVIEW:

1) Literature review is a comprehensive OUTLINE of your TRP2 essay – NOT an incomplete submittal of TRP2 essay. Submittals not following proper OUTLINE format may not be accepted.

2) Provide a thesis statement that will be included in the introductory paragraph (concluding sentence) that: 1) summarizes what essay will discuss, 2) state why topic/research is important to understanding global cultures and 3) defines position of essay on that topic.

3) Provide at least FIVE topic sentences, one  for each body paragraph that will be used to explain topic. Include in chronological order that reflects a logical development of the research topic.

4) Under each topic sentence, provide a brief analysis of major themes, hypothesis, findings associated with research that includes specific terminologies (e.g., ethnography, etc.).

5) Provide at least FOUR sources using MLA format in Works Cited section.

6) Provide a brief analysis of expectations of findings (e.g., hypothesis) that may be used in concluding paragraph – may be coordinated with thesis statement.
