Shoreway Environmental Center – What happens to your recycling, compost, and garbage?

Write a 2-3 page paper addressing the topics listed below.
• Use 1 inch margins and a standard 11 or 12 point font.
• Include a properly formatted (CSE) reference list. The reference list is not included in page count. Summarize what you learned on the tour. (5 pts)

Be sure to:
 Make it clear that you understand the science involved (e.g. the technology, ecosystem, etc…)
If different features of a site were shown, identify and describe the different features. If there was a
process involved, identify and describe all steps in the process, in order. Include relevant social, economic, or political topics.

Using at least two outside sources, research a topic related to the fieldtrip.

Cite your sources within your paper, so that it is apparent how you used these outside sources. (See the

• How much waste is processed daily or yearly at this facility?
• Identify (and briefly describe) all the different activities that take place at this site.
