Apply the biopsychosocial approach to the causes and treatment of “OBSSESIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER”.

OBSSESIVE CUMPLUSIVE DISORDER

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a common, chronic, and long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts (obsessions) and/or behaviors (compulsions) that he or she feels the urge to repeat over and over.

Apply the biopsychosocial approach to the causes and treatment of an approved particular psychological disorder. Discuss the biological explanations for the cause of the disorder, then do the same for psychological explanations and for social-cultural factors identified as causes of the disorder. Then, discuss biological treatments for the disorder, psychological treatments for the disorder, and social-cultural interventions that may be implemented for improving the quality of life for people with the disorder.

Have me approve the psychological disorder you are going to address before you get started: see me after class for approval, or text me at 774-526-1265 for a quick reply, or email me for approval of your topic.

A 5-page requirement is provided as a guideline. You will be graded on your effort in addressing each of the areas above.

The paper will count as an additional test grade.

The paper must be submitted by 11:00 a.m. on the date of the final, May 4. Due to the university’s grade submission requirements, no extensions can be provided.
