Literary Analysis Assignment

## Literary Analysis:READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY:Enter your Literary Analysis essay on any piece of creative literature that you choose: poems, novels, short stories, plays, or epics. Your papers need to be in MLA style. Proof these carefully for grammar, punctuation, flow, and clarity. Use three (3) scholarly sources  documented in MLA style. Please be sure to give in-text citations and a proper Works Cited page.Do not rely heavily on directly quoted material for your paper. Quotations should not take up more than 15% of your paper. Remember that you must cite materials that gave you ideas or supported (or contradicted) your argument. You don’t only cite direct quotations. One of your sources is the primary source itself–that is, the poem.

Plagiarized work cannot pass. Plagiarism includes recycling your old papers. I leave the submission window open past the due date for those who submit papers late, but I do count off for late submissions.

Please upload your Literary Analysis of 3 pages (content) with a Works Cited page and in-text citations according to MLA style. Analyze a work of literature (or compare and contrast more than one) considering its theme (dominant idea) and how this theme is supported by elements of the story.

For instance, the theme of “Ozymandias” could be that, no matter how enduring our human efforts are, none of us lasts forever, not even kings. This theme is supported by the evidence of the ruins and the contrasting vast “permanence” of the surrounding desert.

William Butler Yeats
