Define and illustrate urban sprawl and its disadvantages or negative consequences.

Your response must be based on documented research evidence. You may start with an introductory statement listing the negative consequences of sprawl. Then, you write a brief statement reporting some published research evidence for each of the consequences listed. In other words, each consequence of sprawl must be reported, at least, by one research article or study.
