Format of: Video Panel Talk

A recorded panel talk will be the medium for students to analyze and discuss the two movement presentations.  The complete panel talk should be between 7 – 10mins. Please be mindful that students need to be effective and engaging within a short time span in order to leave a lasting impression.  The panel talk should leave a viewer wanting more!

Below are the elements of the analysis which must be present in the Panel Talk. Again this is a roadmap yet how exactly you structure the Panel Talk is up to sudents.

Analysis elements of the Movement Experience (via Panel Talk)

  • Describe the intentionality of the experience: how does it cultivate a sense of self and community for the targeted age group? Areas for improvement?
  • Identify and explain your modality: was it a “movement experience”, a “movement class” or a combination/bridging of the two?
  • What was the quality of the presenter/instructor’s introduction& conclusion to the experience?
  • Identify and explain in more detail how the experience encompasses elements of the overall Dendrite Movement (‘dance’) framework.
  • Explain how the Fundamental Movement Skills were cultivated and/or the foundation for learning the Fundamental Movement Skills was nurtured
  • Explain how the facilitation/instruction contained elements of Inclusive language of motivation, creativity and community building. OR if there were no observations of this, suggest ways this could have been improved in the context of the presentation.
