Detail about VC Feasibility Case (pasted from the original syllabus):

You will form a team of up to 3 students for this assignment. You will pick one of the three VC cases  below:

  1. Pill Pack – Chapter 2
  2. Tyto Care – Chapter 3
  3. Ava – Chapter 6
  4. Kolibree – Chapter 12
  5. Double Robotics – Chapter 13

For this assignment, you will assess the following five issues:

(1)strength of the new venture team,

(2) strength of the opportunity,

(3) strength of the industry,

(4) strength of the business model

(5) whether (or not) you would fund this company, and why (not).

You are expected to integrate material from the entire course and also to consult the Internet to search for relevant information on the selected company. 

The page limit for this assignment is three pages, single-spaced, maximum and using the format from class. Students will be graded on how well they integrate course content into the assignment. Students must highlight each concept they use in yellow.  If a concept is not highlighted, then the Students accept the risk that such concept will not be included in their grade.  

ASSIGNMENT CAVEAT: The short essay MUST be a product of the groups original work and effort and not previously or concurrently been written or presented as part of any other course taken at Brock or elsewhere.  If it is not, then a grade of zero will be given (even retroactively) and it will be construed and recorded as academic misconduct in the student’s file.
