Reflection Essay from my Research FOR AN APPLICATION

I was part of a small research group in the beginning which has grown since freshman year of college where we had several information about the heritability of diseases and disorders. I was in charge of looking through ICD-11 sources to find the common, broad and unique environmental changes and how they could be heritable. I need an essay over my research that has to explain how I was part of a group for a big project and the details and good explanations of what I leearned from it as a person. I need it to sound like I will be published for which I will be an author for and that team work is important. I have more information relating to this project that I will further explain: I need for you to MUST include the following things for this paper.
I can also give you a draft if needed that I have written which needs majority of help with the reflection part as I did not write that. It will be pointless however because I think it needs a fresh start since I was focusing too much on the details of the research I do not believe I would choose my own paper by the lack of flow.

I need you to write on while rephrasing and/or summarize what I will be providing. The rest also has to sound like I know how to do research and basic database that helped me learn from the terms and what I learned from it all. Basically mostly a reflection of what I have included along with expert knowledge to make it sound pleasing and assert on reflection.

It has to be more of an advanced type of essay as in a self-reflection type while including some information about research as the reader will not want to read the research part.

Nonetheless yes you do need to know exactly what the research position is about and the importance of it. The details provided can sum up to become variable graphs (we created) that the team built on and reflect from to show relations of the diseases and disorders.

It has to show how I know that I learned some broad different ranges of diseases cause similar symptoms, I can now identify risk factors, estimate risk of the diseases that could be passed on (heritability), some treatment options for different environmental groups using the ACE model (like A is unique so solely that person, additive genetic variance, C is common or shared factors so a sibling/relative with it, and E is specific/ nonshared environmental factors with errors calculated from the global population to try to see the similarity in all of them as a whole at the end).

The hypothesis of our research is that the diseases in the same ICD chapter would have similar mortality (and even prevalence rates) that would create a similarity in their heritability. It was proven wrong of course because the chapters had to relation to the severity of some diseases while others were minor enough to not be passed as much. It also showed me that the chapters are for the bodily systems as a whole for each significant system and does not account for the deaths they can cause (i.e like we did not use any cancers because we know they would cause deaths higher than others so they were ruled out, I found similarities in mortality in some diseases in other groups, I used images to visualize the designs and learn from it, incidences could be resolved with treatment but was not always the case with certain diseases, etc.) The point was to analyze and try to find a connection/reason for how genetics have an effect on disease heritability in overall senses.

THINGS YOU HAVE TO READ AND INCLUDE:

– what the research taught me on being part of a team and how teamwork/leadership qualities can be shown from working together

– what we did to resolve conflicts like group discussions/ talk to professor/ pick an alt method to decide the best solution…

– KEY FACTS of what the research is and what I did. nothing more.

– more about what I learned. You can use terminology but mainly focus on the important or the impact it had.

– professional, concise tone throughout. I am trying to get into medical school so it can’t sound too wordy, it has to sound like yes I know what I have done, but here is some information why you should pick me: what i learned, what i gained, teamwork, leadership, how it relates to being a doctor (treatment/diagnosis) etc.

– how it IS relevant to become a doctor. I need good details on this one.

– methods of the research position as described as a whole and what I significantly helped with (ICD, mortality and prevalence, and graphs making/body diagram)

– more about the learning and my roles than the research itself

– again, it has to be more of a reflection paper re-write from the original plus with some additional flowing together and a main idea and summary.- we made graphs to show the relationships and differences between each specific groups of diseases and disorders that are inherited – we grouped the diseases by the chapters in ICD-11 for the bodily system it affects for the majority- we linked each and every source and did our own calculations to make the variable out of the total global population in billions- sorting data, removing data that could not be used (with not enough info)- comparing the data to the incidence and mortality rates for global population- used other sources like CDC and NIH- I used a LOT of articles, mainly our whole research is article based so all of the information came from outside trusted sources that we referenced and cited- it was a lot of extra information for me that I cannot fully explain but it has taught me well on teamwork and how to find good details about important subjects
I hope this makes sense as our research was based on that ALONG with the ICD-11 chapters. Try to add on from and with what I have just provided above. Please let me know if you have read throughly and if you need anything else. Thanks in advance.
