In the play Waiting for Godot, man’s life is portrayed as meaningless whenever there is a lack of value and adaptability. The universe provides humans with favorable conditions, but its occupants may generate their conditions, some of which might not favor their habitation; from this point of view, now human life is viewed as meaningless or nothingness. The world is ridiculous, implying it has no meaning or purpose (Graver 2004). The futility stems from humanity’s existence. Humans in the universe tend to follow others since some capabilities have inspired them. Whether aware of it or not, people appear to imitate those in power positions. It cannot be good when influence abides by inhumanity and scary incidents. The situation or condition whereby humans reside in a worthless, formless, irrational world with no meaning or purpose for their lives. In addition to what Martin Esslin discusses, Ionesco’s contemporary notion of irrationality: “What is absurd is something which has no intent.” Man is misplaced when he is trimmed off from his religious, spiritual, and sublime origins; all of his deeds become meaningless and bizarre. The scenario where Godot is waiting and does not appear at all but keeps on sending promises without commitment shows that some people cannot value one standing in life, and therefore their time is meaningless (Bradby 2001). After Pozzo and lucky leave the scene, the boy enters and informs Vladimir that Godot will not be available again, something which demoralizes them, and they decide to leave and, once again, no move. Most of the perceptions in Godot are directed to waiting, and humans can fail their fellas, making them worthless and of no value to existence which results in absurdity.
