Directions: Students are to review and summarize the important elements of a Court Case, Case Study, or independent (peer-reviewed) research article relevant to their assigned Chapter topic. This is your opportunity to use the material within your chosen chapter to interact with the case study or legal case you chose. You may also use an independent research article and tie it back to the chapter you chose. Please include the chapter you chose and cite the page number of your chosen case study, legal case, or independent research article. If you choose a case study or legal case from the textbook, then the page number is sufficient. If you choose an independent research article. Make sure you cite it according to APA formatting, so I can retrieve it. Most of the case examples and legal cases can be found in bold blueprint throughout each chapter. Some say “Spotlight,” others say, “Legal Update,” or “Hot Topic.”
Describe and discuss the key concepts and constructs related to the assigned chapter in your textbook. 2. What is the relevancy of these concepts or constructs to the practice of forensic psychology or the roles of the legal system (police, prosecutor, and courts)? 3. What is the nature of the Case Study selected and how is it relevant to the topic (give 3 examples of its relevancy and defend your answers)? 4. What were the main elements of the case study as it relates to the topics covered in your chapter and the textbook in general? Give two to three examples clearly linking them to the material covered in the chapter and the textbook. 5. How can this case study be used to create effective learning opportunities for individuals being trained in forensic psychology, criminal justice, or legal related careers? Give a clear and compelling example of how it can be used to effectively improve the training of students in any one or all of the following careers just mentioned earlier in this question.
