United States Constitution

Assessment Description Once the Constitutional convention produced the Constitution as a document and presented to each of the states for ratification, the country divided between those who supported the Constitution, known as

Federalists, and those who opposed the Constitution,

known as Anti-Federalists). In an essay of 750-1,000 words, address the

following:

What were the differences between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists?

Who were the main personalities on each side of this debate?

What were their main concerns?

How did the prospect of a Bill of Rights play into this debate?

How have these two parties proven to be correct (or incorrect) in their

evaluations of the Constitution?
