Parent-Child Relations
Identify the basic emotional needs of children: love, trust, affection, and self-esteem. Describe some of the basic considerations in fostering children’s cognitive and intellectual growth, meeting their emotional needs, and socializing and disciplining them. Relate how philosophies and emphases in childrearing has changed over the years and how men and women differ in their views, as to parents and children. Describe why cultural and biological differences and life circumstances, as well as differences in children, require varying methods of parenting. Provide research to support your writing. This assignment must be a minimum of 5 pages. The assignment must be completed in APA style, double spaced, in Times New Roman, 12-point font with 1-inch margins. You must include a cover page and reference page which are NOT included in the 5-page minimum.
