As you know an ethnography describes a particular human situation, practice, or group as it exists in a particular time and space. You will continue to analyze the cultures in your film. Your paper should include the following:
Introduction with film synopsis, and a thesis statement that includes the three course concepts that you will be
working on
Culture – you will describe two cultures or subcultures, identify cultural norms and values, and explains similarities and differences (for this you will draw on fieldnotes 2)
Anthropological Concepts – USING Cultural symbols , Assimilation and Family/Kinship
How is it relevant to the film? Describe a scene in the film in which this concept is evident from the character’s behavior.
Conclusion – reflect on what you have learned by analyzing this film.
