Optional Assignment #3: Current Events

Subject: Media Violence and children

Each review must be at least 500 words in length and use only juried scientific articles to look at your topic from a wide variety of perspectives.

For this assignment, students will select a topic related to psychology and obtain a series of current news articles to read and write about.

• Select a topic related to psychology.
• Cut-out a minimum of 10 newsprint articles related to your topic (scan article into paper)
• Read each article and provide a 1-page discussion about the content. Be sure to address the following items in your narratives: where the article came from, how the article relates to your topic, what new things you have learned in the article, and write at least related 2 questions that were not answered by the article and the location of where you might be able to find the answers to your questions. Be sure to use Standard Written English and proofread your work prior to submitting it to me. No plagiarized narratives will be accepted.
• Each student choosing to do this assignment is responsible for making sure their news clippings are scanned and attached to this assignment link—if I do not receive the news clippings, then no extra credit points will be awarded for this assignment.
