The type of multimodal project chosen is a visual media graphic that can be relayed through different platforms, such as print media. Importantly, the research topic chosen for this project is bodybuilding and practices that can help bodybuilders stay in shape. Generally, this is one area that attracts different approaches, especially regarding bodybuilding. While there are bodybuilders who have built their careers on natural grounds, others have relied heavily on products and substances intended to help them build more weight in a shorter period (Chappell et al., 2). Therefore, the interest grows from a need to understand whether there are bodybuilders who have climbed the ladder by being natural and what experiences they had to undergo (Chappell et al., 2). Generally, this genre can be presented in books, audio-visual media, and animation. Additionally, it can be presented on clothes as printed messages. Examples of the multimodal elements that will be applied in this project include pictures, comics, and numerical figures. These will help relay a factual message about the bodybuilding industry. Since the multimodal project is generally a graphic that is made up of images, comics, and text, it cannot carry all the explanations. Therefore, during the day of the presentation, I will first provide an overview of the information in the graphic as the audience makes connections by watching the presentation. This will be essential to provoke deep thought and invite the audience to seek more information regarding the given topic. However, this project will require a title, which will be a summary of the information in the graphic. Therefore, the title will be “The Dos and Don’ts of Body Building.” The following steps towards the completion of the project will be research and design. I am particularly excited about the research since I am also curious to understand whether there are bodybuilders who have won various contests without using enhancement drugs (Chappell et al., 2).
