Module 5 -Flowers v. Mississippi (2019)
Students are tasked with locating and reading U.S. Supreme Court decisions and writing a case brief. Students may use Westlaw accessible through UWG library (UWG credential necessary) or through Google Scholar (case) which is publicly accessible. Resources are provided in CourseDen on how to complete case briefs. The case brief must contain the following: 1. Facts of the case 2. Issues 3. Decisions 4. Reasoning 5. Separate Opinions 6. Analysis How to Write a Case Brief (https://www.lib.jjay.cuny.edu/how-to/brief-a-case) Case briefs must be two pages in length.

All assignments must be your original work. All written work will be reviewed by Turnitin. Students have the opportunity to review their work with the Turnitin Report to see what areas of the paper needs revision and resubmit. Students may resubmit as many times as needed prior to the deadline. Appropriately cited and original work by the student should total approximately 10% or less. Any final submissions with 30% or more Turnitin similarity will receive a zero for the assignment.
