Objective
- Provide a critical summary of a current research study in empirical micro-economics that employs the difference-in-differences identification strategy. In particular, you must prepare a two-page report of the NBER Working Paper.
Content Requirements
Your critical summary should discuss the following concepts:
- What is the overall objective of the study?
- What is the specific research question being investigated?
- Why is this research question relevant for economic theory and policy?
- What source(s) of data is used?
- What are the empirical methodology and identifying assumptions?
- Are the identifying assumptions reasonable?
- What are the study’s main findings?
- What are the theory or policy implications of the study?
- Are there limitations of the study’s data, methods or findings? If yes, what are they?
- How could future work improve upon this study?
Formatting
Please ensure the critical summary is typed double-spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font and using 1-inch margins on all sides. Do not include section headings or extra ‘white space’ between paragraphs
