Do you think every education student should take at least two courses in special education as a preparation for teaching? Why or why not? Will you feel prepared to teach in an inclusive classroom if you don’t take at least one or two courses? What else might you do to prepare? How do you feel about adapting assessment for a child with a disability, both in the classroom and on tests? Is it fair? Do you think children with disabilities should participate in state- or district-wide testing? Do you think they should be allowed to take an alternate assessment instead of the regular test? Explain the reasons for your position.
