For this paper you must personally attend an event where a public speaker or speakers are talking, discussing a serious topic. Provide proof of attendance by scanning and uploading a copy of a ticket, or a program or an announcement that showed when the event took place. It must be during this current semester. Examples you could use would be a speaker at a club, a tour guide at a museum, a presenter at a government board such as a city council, a county commission or a school board , a clergy person at a worship service, an educator specially brought in to your place of employment to conduct an in service training etc. You MAY NOT use your boss giving a presentation at work or your relative doing a toast at a wedding . In your paper describe who the speaker was, what they had to say, when they delivered it, how they used their voice and body to convey the message i.e. tone, gestures, eye contact, verbal slips (uhs) and posture. At the end of your paper describe how you and the audience responded to it.
