My two concentrations will be interpersonal communication and entrepreneurship. I need you to write a personal statement essay addressing the following three items: (a.) Description of the two intended concentrations, (b.) What problems or issues are addressed by combining these concentrations, and (c.) What contribution(s) can the interdisciplinary combination make to society, a field of study, etc.
I need to prove why THIS program is absolutely NECESSARY for my next steps professionally.

Info for essay:
- my mother has owned a clothing brand business for 25 years, so since I was a kid I have been involved in entrepreneurship and fashion.
- I now work with social media as a content creator and influencer, and my job is to constantly communicate with people.
– this is the reason behind my interest in the concentration of interpersonal communication, in which I will take classes in marketing and communication, including social media.
- In the future, I plan on opening my own fashion business. Focusing on personal styling and clothing.
– this is the reason for the interest in the entrepreneurship concentration.
- I have a masters in Business Management and Administration, and a minor in psychology.
- My passion has always been people, communicating with them and understanding their behavior.
- Right now I need the knowledge necessary to escalate my current profession as a content creator using the communication and marketing skills this program will offer me. And only after I have created an image for myself, I will be able to open my business meeting the desires and necessities I visualize in my audience.
- I took a business fashion course at the Istituto Marangoni which prepared me for the fashion side of the business. What I need now is to learn more from the entrepreneurial side of it.
- My expectations are to gain more knowledge on all these sides of the business to be able to create my own.
- I believe that in myself there is still a lack of knowledge in these areas.
- I’ve known since I was 14 that I wanted to own my own fashion business brand. While people wanted to work for big corporations and businesses, I knew I wanted to be my own “boss” and follow my passion.
- Fashion is the reflection of human behavior, so both my passions are always connected. By understanding how people think and act we can understand their fashion needs. Their interior and exterior are connected.
- My goal is to be able to connect fashion, communication and psychology (people), and business. And I believe I will be able to, by using social media and my own brand.
- Focusing only on communication or entrepreneurship wouldn’t be enough. That is why I need interdisciplinary studies.
Life story:
I was born in the fashion world, but only making selling clothes did not feel like enough. I had to find new experiences, and meet new cultures. So I moved to the USA by myself, in search of more self-knowledge. I ended up having to deal with psychological problems with anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. Wanting to cure myself, I started researching and looking for explanations. I awakened a side of me that I still didn’t know. This passion for psychology and people became my motivation. After that, I realized how big fashion brands weren’t paying attention to their public, and how their marketing and clothes were affecting their public’s psychological side. So I realized I wanted to be able to create a more humanized brand. A more transparent brand in which I, Joanna, will be in direct contact with my public. A realistic profile that seems achievable and not impossible to the audience.
