Peer Review – Literacy Narrative
1. Add any general, constructive comments about the essay as a whole and/or pieces of the essay that stood out to you (good or bad).
2. How does the essay discuss a challenging moment in the author’s literacy (learning to read/write/learn another language/another skill)? Is this done in an interesting, narrative way (is there narrative tension, a crisis, and a resolution)?
a. If not, how could the author rewrite the order of the events (or cut some of them) to make the narrative more compelling?
3. is there dialogue? If not, where might be a good place to add some?
There isn’t any dialogue, it would be better
4. Take one more look-–does the author use any overused words that could be replaced? What would you suggest instead? Is there anywhere where it would be helpful to “show not tell” the reader what’s happening?
5. Repeat with second peer’s essay.
So, baiscally I want a reply in 300 words for each of the 2 essays.
