We are on our way to creating a Staff Handbook that you can use when you become the Director or Owner of your center.  A Staff Handbook is a must for every center – and the items we put into our Handbook should be clear, concise and ready to use.  Let’s get started!In this Module you will find the following:1) The instructions for Creating your Staff Handbook. This will be your capstone, final project for this semester.  As you have quite a bit to read and to help you focus on your project, I have kept the other assignments to a minimum.  HOWEVER, do not take this as a time to slack off!  Instead, use this week to begin gathering your thoughts for this capstone project and/ or start writing.  These types of Handbooks take an enormous amount of time and getting started NOW will really pay off in the end.  Please remember, too, that 20% of your grade is for this capstone project…that is the difference between an A and a C or a B and a D.2) A multitude of ideas and samples of existing Staff Handbooks which you can read and gain ideas from for your use.3) Five Weblinks for you to read and gather ideas on what you can and should include in your center’s Staff Handbook4) One Discussion Forum – your thoughtful response to my prompt is due Tuesday, May 31st (because of Memorial Day), by 6:00pm and thorough and complete reflections to two classmates by Wednesday, June 1st. Do Well!
